Temporary Job Placement Staff

They will be providing job development and placement to consumers in the Covington district. The candidate will be required to attend training in job development and job placement.

ASL Job Coach
The Job Coach will assist people who are deaf on the job. Provide on the job training and social skills training to people. Work with managers and co-workers to develop their skills in supporting individual. Arrange transportation, work with families, and Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors as needed.
Owensboro Public Schools is still seeking an interpreter at the high school level. In this position, the interpreter will facilitate communication for a high school student who is an incoming freshman. There will be opportunities to interact with other deaf students and staff at the school and in the community at various educational events.
Additionally, there are always extra opportunities to earn extra income by interpreting for after school activities. In addition there are opportunities to interpret for meetings that include Deaf staff or Deaf parents.
Owensboro is a city with several interpreters. The school systems (OPS and Daviess County) are dedicated to high quality education for students who are deaf and hard of hearing.
